It’s like a middleman that takes your request and sends it to the appropriate place, then brings the information that you need. This setup can be particularly useful for organizations and schools; it’s allows them to control and monitor the online activities of their network users. When you use a proxy server to access the internet, all the websites you request go through this server. The websites you’re visiting only see the proxy server address, not your own. It would help to get around blocks or restrictions set up by your school or job that would normally prevent you from seeing certain websites. It helps prevent others from entering a private network.


There are two filtering types.


    1. Inbound control.

    2. Outbound control.

 Proxy server can hide the IP addresses and prevent unauthorized persons from accessing them while we are connecting to the network. The proxy server is doing a good job.

 

Why do we need proxy server?

 

There are several benefits: enhanced security, improved performance, etc. Proxy server can also store a cache of the web pages that you access frequently. The proxy can quickly provide them instead of having to retrieve them from the internet again. This reduces the amount of traffic going over the internet, which can make it faster to access your feed.
